About Ivor Casey

Ivor Casey is a writer, photographer and freelance journalist. First published in Ireland’s Sunday Independent aged 19 in 2003, Ivor subsequently had work printed in national and regional publications including The Irish Examiner, The Westmeath Independent, The Westmeath Examiner, The Westmeath Topic and Ireland’s Own covering literature, art, music, obituaries and history. Ivor has also assisted in PR working as a photographer and lending support on a range of articles for publications such as The Sunday World, USA Today, Social and Personal Magazine, VIP Magazine, Irish Daily Mail, Irish Central, The Sunday Independent, The Irish Examiner, Dun Laoghaire Gazette, Southside & Northside People, The Wicklow Times, The Athlone Advertiser, The Westmeath Independent and The Westmeath Examiner. Ivor is the author of “Elvis and Ireland”. He also has a BA(Hons) in English, Media and Cultural Studies and has run his own publishing and marketing business, Appello Press, since 2012.

  1. Hi Ivor, heard your ‘Mooney’ interview on the car radio. My close friend, TV Producer, Steve Binder was the 2nd most important influence in Elvis’s career being the driving force behind the legendary ‘Comeback Special’. I need to get a copy of your book, with a dedication to Steve, to send to him. Let me know how this could be organised.
